April 9, 2022: Marlins 2, Giants 1

It's always better to watch a win than a loss.

Pablo (even though he didn't pick up the win) looked GREAT. The bullpen struck out eight over four innings while not allowing a run (only two hits). Then to top it all off both Bleier and Bender got redemption (Bender picking up the save). The Fish are RIGHT on track to finish 161-1. Right according the plan, right?

My biggest take away from the game wasn't anything on the field. It was who wasn't in the game.

I get wanting to win. I get that Jazz Chisholm Jr's numbers vs LHP might not be stellar. BUT.

Come on. It's game two of 162. LET THE KID PLAY!

He's starting his SECOND FULL SEASON IN THE MAJORS. How is he going to get better if you don't let him play?

How do you put someone on the bench after he almost won the game for you with a homer the day before?

Jazz is a one of the most dynamic and talented players in the Majors. He was JUST shy of 20 HR last season which would have given him a 20/20 season. He has the tools for a 30/30 year in 2022. In many ways he's the face of the franchise. You don't sit someone like that. You play them. Every. Dang. Game.

Before anyone jumps on me for overreacting to a move in game two...I'm being a fan. I'm reacting to the games as they happen. What's so wrong with that?
